Awakening The Sacred Body

SECRETS OF TIBETAN TANTRA & GONG TSA LUNG ADVANCED PRACTICE.

  • Born of the Tibetan Tantric Tradition, age old secrets of rejuvenation and healing give way to this transformative workshop.

    You will be guided through an array of postures, movements and breath work clearing the inner nadis and supporting the body’s innate healing wisdom.

  • As body mind and spirit fuse , we can more easily let go of things we don’t need so that the light of the sacred self can shine. This workshop is both profound and challenging on a physical and emotional level.

    We will close with a healing sounds gong bath where available , using sound to integrate and harmonize so that absorption can take place. Or deepen the connection with a Yoga Nidra to allow the elements to flourish. You will leave feeling , refreshed , cleansed, vitalized and at peace.

Due to the more advanced breathwork and bandha present, this workshop is for advanced practitioners.

Yoga Nidra योग निद्रा Yogic Sleep

  • Yoga Nidra is a powerful and profound practice of guided deep relaxation. Anyone can do it. Yoga Nidra induces healing of the body, mind ,and spirit. Yoga Nidra rests, restores and renews. Yoga Nidra is an ancient form of meditation which helps cure chronic and acute physical, mental and emotional disorders. Yoga Nidra allows you to release unresolved unconscious issues that are playing an unwanted role in your daily life. Yoga Nidra is effective because it traces your consciousness to the subconscious where your Samskaras rest. Yoga Nidra is as refreshing as a full night of peaceful sleep.

  • This ancient form of conscious deep sleep allows the conscious mind to recede. In this state, you will melt into deep relaxation and mental calm. Yoga Nidra restores, renews and rests the layers of the body and mind. The natural healing wisdom of the body is awakened and illuminated.

  • As thoughts become silent we begin to witness them without attachment, this gradually allows unconscious impressions which are playing an unwanted role in our daily lives to be attenuated and released.

    You will be guided to a place of supreme stillness, peace and insight. In this state of thought-free existence, you will experience the eternal aspect of your being, the luminous presence of who you are.

    This simple yet profound technique is practiced lying down. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel or blanket to keep warm if desired. We will begin the session with a few gentle postures to align the energy of the body and will end the session with a soft integrative sound bath.

You will leave feeling deeply nourished and rested. Resonating with a more unified and expanded sense of reality. You will radiate with this higher awareness and liberation.

Transcendental Gong Bath

  • Samantha has long used the gong as a source of inspiration and healing. Infused with North American Shamanic traditions and Kundalini yoga , the sound of the Gong evokes not so much a heard but rather a felt sound experience. Its vibrations can penetrate your entire body-mind structure down to the cells on a somatic level and onto the level of subtle unconscious thought patterns on the energetic/mental level. Like purifying water the vibrations of the Gong can wash through your entire system and cleanse out stress, soothe physical complaints and support psychological transformation processes. It brings us in contact with the most primal force of this universe: sound.A gong bath performed in this way washes through your entire system. The vibrations re-pattern your magnetic field, open you to the vastness of your entire psyche and release you from negative thought patterns and memories which prevent you from living a life of joy and freedom.You will be led through a short set of Kriyas before settling into the sacred space of Gong.

  • Join us for this profound collective experience through the body as a vehicle of expressive fluid vibration tuning into the Divine.Combining Yoga as a means to purify and cleanse , Nada Yoga ,slowly walking towards Bhakti in its fullest form.This workshop will allow us to experience the place where body & soul unite beyond the forms , to the Source. Through movement & music we can experience freedom from the ideas that bind us.The experience will end with a Gong Bath (where available) or a Yoga Nidra to synchronize energy.

    This workshop will illuminate the effects of stress in the body (muscles/flexibility) and the mind (anxiety, lack of peace). It will provide you with opportunities to identify & release patterns which cause you pain.

    Via the 3rd chakra, we will ignite and channel this fire to support this forging of new, healthier patterns of thought and movement which can only be done if we learn to let go. Fire has the ability to detoxify and burn away what is no longer necessary. It also boosts our vitality and zest for living.

    We will work hard using the intensity of kriyas , vinyasa & yin combined with fiery breathwork , balanced by a deep relaxation and transcendental Gong Bath. Time will be kept at the end regarding your specific questions related to the workshop.

An alchemy of the elements transforms stiffness into fluidity, density is replaced with shimmering energy. The landscape of the body is refined, liberated and illuminated from within.

    Tuning into the ebb and flow of breath, melting into the mandala of infinity, evolve, transform and heal & feel. Spontaeneous consciousness in movement which emanates from within.Through the dance of Shakti and the alchemy of these elements, your own blissful nature will unfold & bloom.

    Class ends with a deep relaxation, sound bath and guided meditation.

Yoga Heal Pain

8 part course

  • Be you own healer. Through somatic movement and interception (self-sensing) we will awaken our inner wisdom and sensitivity to the way we inhabit our physical body.

    Chronic pain is often a result of adaptations to external and/or internal circumstances or beliefs.

    The organism adapts, the muscles form around those bones and over time, this near muscular pattern becomes very imbedded in the psyche.

    We can often get short term relief from a massage, a yoga class, a chiropractor etc, but as soon as we r left on our own, the unhealthy pattern is established because it is the most familiar one for the body.

    If you experience chronic pain, have poor posture, are a dedicated body worker/yoga teacher, and would like to get an in depth view of the mind/body relationship in order to teach more effectively or shift personal body patterns, this class is for you.

Yoga Heal Program-Movement as Medicine

  • Combining breath and movement is the foundation of vinyasa yet often we don’t quite know how to do it.

    This deep awareness and alchemy are healing as they allow for total inner harmony. This harmony helps to clear knots in the body and stickiness in the mind. We learn to focus on what we can and allow the wisdom of the body to take over. Being a conscious element in our own healing.

    When we synchronize each movement as a felt experience with movement, there is a transformation from “doing” to “being”. There is an intricate balance between effort and allowing. Seeing your physical body as a vehicle for subtle energy is such a profound sensation which ripples into daily awareness.

  • In this class, we will graze some popular vinyasa sequences and learn to combine them with breathing, drishti & mantra. We will explore strength emanating from core/source/prana rather than muscles alone.

    It is important that we establish a strong foundation of alignment/breathwork and visualisation before we proceed to the vinyasa.

These moments of illuminated understanding regarding the deeper mysteries and inner workings of life can be a basis for your empowerment and open you to choices you did not know you had.

    The 8 limbs are not dogma. They are a a progressive methodology designed for you to see, feel, understand and integrate the entire human experience as a whole. In this understanding, in this awakening or unveiling process, our darkness or ignorance (avidya) will diminish and we can be our own best healer and guide. The 8 limbs offer us a doorway into this timeless perspective.

  • Madhvi & Samantha will spend 8 beautiful days with you (2,5hrs each day) and have time to delve deeply into each of the 8 limbs.

    These 8 limbs will be explored through philosophy and sharing and as well as explained through the body in asana.

    There will be time for questions and sharing. The sharing is an integrative aspect of the course because it allows you to bring all of the concepts home into your present day life where they can become a living wisdom and navigational tool.

Sacred Awakening through Surya Namaskar

  • Surya Namaskar creates heat in the solar plexus which then like the rays of the sun, distribute it to the rest of the body.

    Through this foundational practice, we will fine tune ways in which the variations respect the basic alignment principles of the Krishnamacharya lineage. This is important for you to understand because often in a class, things move so fast you fumble, chase, and do not enjoy the physical and energetic benefits so profoundly inherent in this practice.

    To deepen it, we will talk about the meaning of a namaskar, the 12 mantras associated with the vinyasa to allow your mind to then travel inwards.

    Chanting and breathing to these 12 asanas can bring you to a wonderful energized and blissful state.

    The focus required bids strength in the physical body and clarity and vitality to the energy body.

    When this happens, toxic are released on a deep level and a rewiring of inner circuitry make you feel alive, fresh and empowered.

    We will end the class with a shower of chakra sounds during a deep relaxation.

The Art of Bandha

  • Bandhas are seals or areas where energy can either be contained or allowed to leak outward from the physical Body.

    They can be used together or separately. Being familiar with them can take you deeper into subtle body awareness (pratyahara) and knowing how to synch with the body, band and breath can allow for a deeper sense of strength and balance on the mat.

    Off the mat, these bandpass, especially hula bands, can help to preserve your panic energy which translates into more power to the organism hence healing of such things as low back pain.

  • In this workshop, we will learn where the three bandpass are located and practice working with them both individually as well as together (maha band.)

    We will include appropriate visualizations, awareness of the vayu & mantra to further amply the felt experience.

    We will explore how to synchronize movements through the template of the suryanamaskar in order to give you a working knowledge of combining Bandha, breath & movement.
